女優の吉田羊さんが主演を務めるWOWOWのクライムサスペンスドラマ第3弾「連続ドラマW コールドケース3 〜真実の扉〜」がクランクアップを迎え、吉田さんらメインキャストがコメントを発表した。
新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大の影響により、中断していた期間も含め、約6カ月の撮影を終えた吉田さんは「本当に半年間ありがとうございました。コロナという大変な時期でしたけれども、2カ月の自粛期間を経て無事に撮り終えられたのはやっぱり“コールドケース”という作品がもつ底力だと思いましたし、コロナがあったことで逆にシーズン3で皆様との絆がより深まったなと感じております」と胸中を明かした。
続けて、「またそれは自己満足ではなく、ゲストでいらっしゃった皆様が口をそろえて『本当に良いチームだね』と言ってくださるのが何よりもうれしい感想でした。シーズン3が成熟できたのは本当に一人一人のプロ意識のたまものだと思っております。このチームとまた再会できるのを心から願っております。願わくばシーズン9とまでは言いませんので、シーズン4をやってファイナルで映画化できればいいなと思っております（笑い）」と、展望を語った。
「連続ドラマW コールドケース 〜真実の扉〜」は、未解決殺人事件（通称コールドケース）の真相を解明する捜査チームの活躍を描き、世界的に大ヒットした米ドラマ「コールドケース」を日本版オリジナル設定でドラマ化した。2016年にスタートし、シーズン2が2018年に放送された。
シーズン3となる今作では、吉田さん扮（ふん）する石川百合が率いる神奈川県警捜査1課チームが結束力をさらに高め、闇に葬られた悲しき事件の真実が次々と明らかになる。監督は、前作に続いて波多野貴文さん、内片輝さん、守下敏行さんが担当。永山絢斗さん、滝藤賢一さん、光石研さん、三浦友和さんらが出演する。今冬にWOWOWプライムで放送される。
