作曲家・伊福部昭の音楽を集めたCD BOX「伊福部 昭 映画音楽全集 復刻箱」が、明日12月22日に発売される。

これは1981年にLPレコードで発売された大全集の復刻版。10枚組のBOXには伊福部が初めて映画音楽を制作した「銀嶺の果て」、代表作にあたる「ゴジラ」、円谷英二が特撮を担当した「地球防衛軍」、勝新太郎が主演を務めた「座頭市物語」といった作品の音楽が収録されている。

BOXにはブックレットも収められ、新藤兼人、本多猪四郎、吉村公三郎らのコメントを収録。ジャケットは“怪獣絵師”開田裕治が手がけた。

伊福部昭

伊福部 昭（いふくべ あきら、1914年〈大正3年〉5月31日 – 2006年〈平成18年〉2月8日）は、日本を代表する作曲家の一人。ほぼ独学で作曲家となった。日本の音楽らしさを追求した民族主義的な力強さが特徴の数多くのオーケストラ曲のほか、『ゴジラ』を初めとする映画音楽の作曲家として、また音楽教育者としても知られる。

経歴

デビュー以前

1914年（大正3年）、北海道釧路町（釧路市の前身）幣舞警察官僚の伊福部利三、キワの三男としてうまれる。小学生の時、父が河東郡音更村の村長となったため、音更村に移る。

日本クラシック界の代表する作曲家だけど世間では良くも悪くもゴジラで有名になっちゃったからゴジラの呪縛から逃げられなかったね

ニーノ・ロータ

ニーノ・ロータ（Nino Rota、1911年12月3日 – 1979年4月10日）は、イタリアの作曲家。クラシック音楽と映画音楽で活躍した。ロータ自身は「本業はあくまでクラシックの作曲であり、映画音楽は趣味にすぎない」と言っていたが、映画音楽の分野で多大な業績を上げており、死後クラシックの作品も注目を集めるようになった。

生涯

北イタリアのミラノ出身。11歳でオラトリオ、13歳でオペラを作曲し、ミラノ音楽院、サンタ・チェチーリア音楽院で学んだ。その後米国に渡り、カーティス音楽学校に学んだ。帰国後ミラノ大学に入学し、文学と哲学を並行して専攻。

ゴジラの鳴き声と同じで、音を聞いた動物が反応するように出来てるのだ

正直、時代劇ではイマイチだよな
座頭市や東映の集団抗争ものも現代音楽風のギョンギョンいってるBGMの方が伊福部音楽より合ってると思う
