Netflixで配信中の法廷ドラマ『リンカーン弁護士』がシーズン2に更新されることが決定した。米The Hollywood Reporterほか複数メディアが伝えている。
米国の犯罪小説家マイクル・コナリーの同名小説シリーズを、『弁護士ビリー・マクブライド』、『ボストン・リーガル』、『ザ・プラクティス ボストン弁護士ファイル』、『アリー・myラブ』など数々の弁護士ドラマを手掛けてきたデイビッド・E・ケリーがシリーズ化した『リンカーン弁護士』。カナダで行われたメディアイベントBanff World Media Festivalにて、シーズン2への更新が発表された。
■ストーリーやキャスト、スタッフはどうなる？
シーズン2は10話から成る予定で、コナリーの原作シリーズの第4作「証言拒否（原題：The Fifth Witness）」に基づくストーリーになるという。ちなみにシーズン1は第2作「真鍮の評決（原題：The Brass Verdict）」に基づいていた。
製作陣には『Queen of the South ～女王への階段～』『ナイトシフト 真夜中の救命医』のデイリン・ロドリゲスが新たに参加することも決定。ショーランナーに加わり、製作総指揮も務める。ケリーと共に立ち上げに尽力してきた製作総指揮のひとりテッド・ハンフリー（『グッド・ワイフ』）は変わらずに参加。ケリーはシーズン1に比べて関りが減ると予想されている。
主人公ミッキー・ハラーを演じたマヌエル・ガルシア＝ルルフォは、共演のネーヴ・キャンベル、ベッキー・ニュートン、アンガス・サンプソン、ジャズ・レイコールらと共にシーズン2でも続投予定だ。
5月13日（金）の配信開始からNetflixの週間視聴時間ランキングTOP10にランクインし続けており、シーズン更新も予想通りの結果といえる。今回の更新が、他の原作「リンカーン弁護士」小説シリーズのドラマ化への足掛かりとなるかもしれない。
