【AFP＝時事】（更新）米ディズニー（Disney）のアニメ部門トップ、ジョン・ラセター（John Lasseter）氏（60）は21日、スタッフに対し望まれていないハグ（抱擁）をしたことで「不快」な思いをさせたと認め、半年間の休職を発表した。

　ラセター氏は、ルーカスフィルム（Lucasfilm）の小さな映像制作部門だったピクサー（Pixar）を世界で最も成功を収めたアニメーションスタジオに変身させたことで知られ、
『トイ・ストーリー（Toy Story）』と『トイ・ストーリー2（Toy Story 2）』では監督を務めてCGアニメ映画の草分けとなった。

　ディズニーからAFPに送付された社内文書で同氏は「望んでいないハグや、いかなる方法や形であれ一線を越えたと感じた行為を受ける側にいた全ての人」に対して謝罪すると記している。

米芸能誌ハリウッド・リポーター（Hollywood Reporter）は複数の匿名筋の話として、ラセター氏が繰り返してきた一連の不適切行為について、ディズニーとピクサーの関係者らが証言していると報道。

　ピクサーに長年勤めてきた職員の話として同誌が伝えたところでは、ラセター氏は「人をつかんだり、キスしたり、体についてコメントしたり」することで知られていた。

ジョン・アラン・ラセター（John Alan Lasseter, 1957年1月12日 – ）はアメリカ合衆国のカリフォルニア州ハリウッド生まれの、映画監督、兼アニメーション作家。ウォルト・ディズニー・アニメーション・スタジオ、ピクサー・アニメーション・スタジオ両スタジオのチーフ・クリエイティブ・オフィサーであり、またディズニーパーク等の企画開発を行うウォルト・ディズニー･イマジニアリングのプリンシパル・クリエイティブ・アドバイザーでもある。

来歴

高校生の頃からアニメーターを目指し始め、1979年、カリフォルニア芸術大学の映像学部（”Film/Video“科）アニメ課程（”Character Animation“）の第一期生として入学、アニメーションを学び美術学士号（”Bachelor of Fine Arts“）を取得。在学中、1979年制作の”Lady and the Lamp“と1980年制作の”Nightmare“で”Student Academy Award“（学生のための映画賞）を受賞している。また、後にピクサー作品の制作に携わる、ジョー・ランフトやブラッド・バードも同大学出身でラセターとはこのころから交友がある。
