スタジオカラー公式アカウントや「エヴァ」声優陣が1月31日、「
シン・エヴァンゲリオン劇場版」の打ち入り開催をSNS上で報告。庵野秀明監督が一本締め（一丁締め）を行う映像や、参加スタッフによる豪華な記念写真の様子が次々に投稿され、「いよいよ公開まであと1年」という現実をファンにも印象づけています。
一般に“打ち入り”という言葉はあまり浸透していませんが、作品終了時に行う“打ち上げ”に対して、打ち入りとは作品の製作開始を記念して行う催しを指すもの。開催されるタイミングは作品によりけりで、「シン・エヴァ」の場合は既に制作が進行中と発表されていましたが、ある程度制作が進んだ今の段階で、新年会と合わて開催されたようです。
Twitterでは碇シンジ役の緒方恵美さんが「『終わりの始まり』にふさわしく、こんなに豪華な声優陣が集結しました…！」と、庵野監督をはじめキャスト陣や歌手の高橋洋子さんらが勢ぞろいした集合写真を投稿。また葛城ミサト役の三石琴乃さんも「何だろ、関わってる時間が長いんだけど、新鮮！ そして刺激的で興奮せざるをえない人達です」というコメントと共に集合写真や、赤木リツコ役の山口由里子さんと庵野監督とのスリーショットを投稿しています。
碇ゲンドウ役の立木文彦さんも「レイと息子シンジと共に」と、林原さん、緒方さんらとの写真を投稿。『Q』で初登場した北上ミドリ役の伊瀬茉莉也さんや、『Q』で残念ながら登場がなかった洞木ヒカリ役の岩男潤子さんまで、幅広いキャスト・スタッフの参加が確認できます。
カラー公式アカウントは「本来ならこの場にいて下さるはずだった方々の想いとお力もお借りして、最高の作品をお届けできるよう精進して参ります」と、シリーズ完結作への意気込みをつづり、準公式であるカラー2号機アカウントも「この時期でないと打ち上げまでそんな余裕がまったくなくなってしまうので、僭越（せんえつ）ながら弊社新年会と一緒に開催させていただきました」と、これから作品完成までノンストップとなりそうな制作工程を伺わせています。
普段からスタッフのオフショットを提供してくれることに定評のあるカラー2号機からは、打ち入りで乾杯の音頭を取る鶴巻和哉監督と、最後に大きな掛け声で一本締めを行う庵野監督の映像も公開。ファンからは「期待しかない」「庵野さん、声通りますね」「何としても2020年までに完成させてください！」といった声が寄せられていました。
