鳥山明さんのマンガが原作の人気アニメ「ドラゴンボール」の20作目となる劇場版アニメ「ドラゴンボール超（スーパー） ブロリー」（長峯達也監督）が、3日までの世界累計興行収入で1億ドルを突破したことが、分かった。
国内では公開から53日間で累計300万9730人を動員し、38億9556万9200円の興行収入を記録。前作の「ドラゴンボールZ 復活の『F』」（2015年）の最終興行収入と動員を超え、シリーズ最高記録を樹立した。
劇場版最新作は、テレビアニメ「ドラゴンボール超」に続くエピソードで、原作者の鳥山さんが脚本とキャラクターデザインも手がけた。人気キャラクターのブロリーが、孫悟空の前に立ちはだかり、サイヤ人の歴史も描かれている。
