妻の理不尽な怒りへの対処法をまとめた「妻のトリセツ」などで話題のAI研究者、黒川伊保子の著書に基づく本作。早見演じるヒロイン・真島愛（まじまあい）は、大学でAIを研究しており、「男女脳の違いによる女の機嫌の直し方」をテーマにした卒業論文のデータを収集するために結婚式場でアルバイトを始めるという設定。式場では、挙式直前に「結婚をやめる」と泣き出す新婦、余興をやりたがらない新郎の同僚女性、熟年離婚の危機を迎える新婦の親戚夫婦らトラブルの連続。劇場版では嫁姑のバトルが勃発する。
主演の早見は、本作に以下のようにコメントしている。「『何でわかってくれないの？』『何にそんなに怒ってるの？』、一度は経験したことがあると思います。そんな皆さんに朗報です！ その謎が解ける素晴らしい作品が生まれました！ わたしも撮影をしながら学ぶ毎日です。笑えて泣けて心があったかくなる。大切な人のことをもっと好きになる。幸せがいっぱい詰まった作品です」
愛の上司となる熱血ウェディングプランナー・青柳誠司に平岡祐太、新婦・茉莉に松井玲奈、新郎・悠に佐伯大地。脚本は、ドラマ「ワイルド・ヒーローズ」（2015・日本テレビ）、映画『CAGE』などの蛭田直美。お笑いタレントの横澤夏子が脚本協力に加え、カメオ出演する。（編集部・石井百合子）
