Jホラーを代表する「呪怨」の最新作が、日本の実話をベースにNetflixのオリジナルシリーズとして初めてドラマ化されることになった。2020年春に配信予定。25日に都内で行われたイベント「Netflixオリジナル作品祭」で発表された。
ある一軒の家を発端にした恐怖の出来事の数々を基に創作されてきた「呪怨」シリーズ。今回のドラマ版では、その間に起きた恐ろしい事柄を余すことなく描くという。監督は『きみの鳥はうたえる』などの三宅唱。恐怖の底にある人間ドラマをあぶり出す作品となる。
そのほか、注目作の新情報が次々と発表された。パナマ文書を題材に『オーシャンズ11』などのスティーヴン・ソダーバーグ監督がメガホンを取ったNetflixオリジナル映画『ザ・ランドロマット（原題） / The Laundromat』の邦題が『ザ・ランドロマット −パナマ文書流出−』に決まり、今年配信予定。メリル・ストリープ、ゲイリー・オールドマン、アントニオ・バンデラスが共演し、主演のメリルを中心にペーパーカンパニーを巡る騒動と、腐敗した金融界にはびこる闇を描く。
EXILEなどのパフォーマーとして活躍する小林直己がハリウッド進出を果たしたNetflixオリジナル映画『アースクエイクバード』は2020年配信予定。リドリー・スコットが製作総指揮を務めるサスペンス・ミステリーで、アリシア・ヴィキャンデル、ライリー・キーオらが出演する。
日本から平岳大、窪塚洋介、本木雅弘が出演し、ロンドンと東京を舞台にしたサスペンスドラマ「Giri / Haji」も今後配信予定。弟がロンドンで行方不明になったと聞いた日本人刑事が渡英し、消息を調べるうちに自身もロンドンの闇世界へ足を踏み入れていく物語が描かれる。
ファビュラスな5人、通称“ファブ5”による人生改造リアリティー番組の日本が舞台のスペシャルシーズン「クィア・アイ in Japan!」は今秋に配信予定。水原希子をガイド、渡辺直美を特別ゲストに迎えて悩める日本の人々を大改造していく。（編集部・小松芙未）

熊取町7人連続怪死とかはオカルトファンには有名な話だけど、大島てるで大炎上（怪死があると付く炎アイコンが特に集中する）マンションとか地区なんてのも最近は話題になってたりする
