『イエスタデイ』（原題：Yesterday）は、2019年のイギリスのファンタジー・コメディ映画。

イギリスの小さな海辺の町に住むジャックは、幼なじみの親友エリーから献身的に支えられてシンガー・ソングライターとして活動しているが全く売れず、夢を諦めかけていた。

そんなある日、世界規模で瞬間的な停電が起こる。その時、ジャックは交通事故に遭い、昏睡状態に陥ってしまう。
やがて目を覚ますと、世界は史上最も有名なはずのバンド「ザ・ビートルズ」が存在しないことになっており、彼らの名曲を覚えているのは世界でジャック唯一人だけだった。
ジャックはそれを利用して、ビートルズの曲を歌って成り上がろうとする。

ウェールズ大学バンガー校（現・バンガー大学）在籍中に女優のフランシス・バーバーと恋愛関係にあったことが知られている。尊敬している監督としてリドリー・スコットの名前を挙げている。

キャリア

ウェールズのウェールズ大学バンガー校卒業後、ジョイント・ストック・シアター・カンパニーの演出家としてキャリアを始め、ロイヤル・シェイクスピア・カンパニーでも5つの作品を手掛けた。
