女優芦田愛菜（15）が、6年ぶりの主演実写映画「星の子」（大森立嗣監督、来年公開予定）で、役作りで髪の毛を30センチ以上切って撮影に臨んでいることが22日、分かった。
芦田が演じるのは中3の少女ちひろ。幼少期から病弱という設定だが、原作を読んで髪を切ることを決めたといい
「ちひろを自分が演じることを想像したとき、ちひろは前の自分のような髪の長さではないなと感じて、切りたいと思いました」。
ショートカットは、映画「パシフィック・リム」の撮影時以来、7年ぶりといい「ずっと長くて、切った瞬間は『首が軽い！』と思いました」。
同作品は、来年1月下旬まで撮影予定で「髪を切ったことで自分のイメージの中のちひろに近づけた。
約1カ月間ちひろに寄り添って、たくさんの方に感動していただける作品がつくれるように頑張っていきたい」と意気込みを新たにしている。
