ニコラス・ケイジが主演を務める園子温監督のハリウッドデビュー作『プリズナーズ・オブ・ゴーストランド』のティザービジュアルが公開され、あわせて日本人キャストも発表となった。また、公開日が10月8日に決定したことも明らかになった。
『愛のむきだし』『冷たい熱帯魚』などで知られる園子温監督のハリウッドデビュー作となる本作。世界を牛耳る悪徳ガバナー（ビル・モーズリー）の魔の手を逃れたバーニス（ソフィア・ブテラ）をゴーストタウンから連れ戻すよう命じられた悪名高き銀行強盗ヒーロー（ニコラス・ケイジ）を主人公にした物語が展開する。

今回、本作に出演する日本人キャストが発表。園作品の常連で、日米で活躍するTAK∴（坂口拓）、Netflixオリジナル映画「愛なき森で叫べ」でデビューした中屋柚香、『TOKYO TRIBE』で主演を務めたYOUNG DAIS（ヤングダイス）、古藤ロレナ、縄田カノンの5名がキャストに名を連ねる。ソフィア・ブテラ、ビル・モーズリー、ニック・カサヴェテスといったハリウッドの俳優陣と肩を並べることになる。（編集部・大内啓輔）
