2014年4月14日、台湾の衛星テレビ・TVBSによると、ハリウッド映画「アベンジャーズ/エイジ・オブ・ウルトロン」（「アベンジャーズ2」）の韓国ソウルロケで、下町の文来洞が撮影地に選ばれたことから、一部のソウル市民は「韓国の国家イメージを損ねる」と不快感を示している。環球時報（電子版）が伝えた。
世界的大ヒット映画「アベンジャーズ」の続編「アベンジャーズ2」の撮影地に韓国が選ばれたことで、韓国人は「先進国としての姿を世界に知ってもらえる絶好のチャンス」と大喜び。ロケのために市内各所で交通規制も行われるなど韓国政府の全面協力もあり、16日間のスケジュールは無事終了した。
しかし、古い鉄工所が集まる下町の文来洞でも撮影が行われたことで、「先進国の姿が伝わらないのでは」という不安の声が上がっている。
これに対し、「アベンジャーズ2」のジョス・ウィードン監督は「ロケで市民の皆さんに多大なる迷惑をかけたことをおわびしたい。だが、われわれはソウルを愛している。映画では、全世界がこれまで見たこともないような韓国を描くつもりだ」と話している。
