映画『ルパン三世 バビロンの黄金伝説』がBS日テレで8月11日(日)放送。モンキー・パンチ原作の人気アニメ『ルパン三世』の劇場版第3作。鈴木清順と吉田しげつぐが監督を務め、脚本には浦沢義雄と大和屋竺が参加しています。

摩天楼の下に隠された黄金伝説の謎を追え！
“バビロンの財宝”を目当てにニューヨークにやって来たルパン。ロゼッタ婆さんが言うには、その財宝の秘密がマンハッタン文書に隠されているというのだ。バビロンの遺跡に向かうルパンたちに、ICPOのお色気美人警官を引き連れた銭形警部が乱入。さらにお宝を狙うマフィア・マルチアーノの攻撃が加わり大騒ぎ！しかしお目当ての財宝を得られなかったルパンは、マンハッタン文書が出土した中心地ニューヨークのマディソン・スクエア・ガーデンへ再び舞い戻る。なんとそこで何万トンもの黄金を発見するが・・・！
黄金は何故ニューヨークに？ ロゼッタ婆さんの本当の目的とは？そして“バビロンの財宝”は誰の手に！？

後半のグダグダ具合とブツ切りオチなしのラストはなんなんだと思ったら
脚本家がTVサイズ以上の尺を書いた事ない半分素人で
大和屋がテキトーにでっち上げたものを、山羊髭清純がテキトーにカタチにしたものらしい
